everyday lifeNow we temporary had kind of everyday life. Get up slowly in the mornings, then do a little bit of work, after that explore the city and in the evenings back to Glebe. During our work, we meet really weird people. Today, for example, we chatted with a guy for half an hour. He told us his entire life story and philosophy, why the bavarians are different from other Germans, explained the nationalism and his consequences ... and finally he gave us a few book references - how to learn English properly. After work we went to Burger King, yes they have something like that here as well ;-), the good thing here is - I think like in the U.S. - that you have to pay for drinks just one time and can drink as much as you like. Finally we checked out some flights to Cairns and will probably leave Sydney next Thursday.In the evening we went to the Ancient Briton Hotel to receive our free drink. Peter, the manager of Triple2, told us that we can get a free drink there every evening. At the Ancient Briton everybody was just looking confused: "What do you want? A free drink?" - after a certain time the manager came and explained how this special originally should work and that Peter always tells strange things and of course mixes up many things. The special means 2for1, a nice evening entertainment;-). |
