working b-dayWell, actually you imagine your birthday a little bit different. But today we spontaneously planted ca. 1300 banana trees - during the hotest hours of the day. Usually, when you are working in the paddocks, the temperatures are alright. But when you have to work on the open field you feel the heat pretty quick.After work we celebrated my birthday a little bit of course. By chance I was not the only person. Another mate from the UK - Toby - had his birthday as well. Later we went to mondays soup kitchen in town. Here you get free soup, bread and yummy cake. As a poor backpacker you are going for something like that of course - we are needy;-) Anyway the people there are really friendly and seem to know that the entire Codge Lodge is coming around every monday. Meanwhile all the people in Codge Lodge have formed a big community - really nice people. |
