happy work
Today I finally realised that I should have worked on my current farm from the very beginning.
It is just relaxed, no "keep going", everybody still does his job and the boss himself is doing the
same job most of the time. As we are cutting on the second farm just every two weeks,
we are bagging on the main farm at the moment - easy job.
As it is friday today and Bob's wife is just giving us a hand with packing, she of course was not
on the farm today. But she is doing all the financial stuff as well and so we went to Bob's place
after work to pick up our cheques. Afterwards we all finished a case of beer together.
In the afternoon I went into the city centre to do some shopping, go around to the library and
meet some people at the Codge Lodge. After chatting for a few minutes suddenly George appeared
and kicked me out: "Your not welcome here anymore!" (this is just the friendly part) - how childish.
He is getting so much money from all the hard working backpackers and if some of them decide to
stay somewhere else for less money during their last weeks he is freaking out.
In the evening there was a small reunion with all the Codge Lodge people when we met for dinner
at Brothers Leagues Club. Afterwards we went to Imperial Tavern. I did not stay for so long
tonight as I am working on Saturdays now as well.
