Today - Christmas Eve - we went from Hervey Bay to Noosa. We just heard that it is pretty nice and decided
that it will be our place for Christmas. On the way there we stopped in Maryborough to take a picture of a big
Ned Kelly Stature. Then in the biggest "suburban area without a proper city centre" I have seen in Australia
so far (that's how it appeared to me) - Noosa - we first went to the tourist information to figure out where
we could stay tonight. According to their information actually all inner city caravan parks should have been
booked out, but we called them
nevertheless and were lucky. A site on one of the most central caravan parks for reasonable money. So we had
accomodation for the next two days to have a relaxed boxing day tomorrow.
In the evening we first went into the cinema to watch "Die Another Day" - just another typical James Bond movie.
Afterwards we made a detour to the probably "best" nightclub in town - where we were refused entry because of our
outfit (we can do very well without that) - and then ended up at Koalas. There was a backpackerparty until midnight.
Afterwards we went "home" in the rain. Yeah, it really is raining here at the sunshine coast and even the Aussies are
calling this rain.
