tropfestToday the Tropfest Short Film Festival was going to take place at the Domain, a park just south of the Botanical Gardens. Here the sixteen top films were shown in the finals today. To get into these finals in my opinion is already a really good job as there are more than 600 movies participating in this contest. So the producers of these sixteen movies can be quite proud that their works are shown in front of more than 120 000 people - especially as most of these producers are "first time movie makers".All short films have one thing in common, the so called Tropfest Signature Item, which was a rock this year. This item has to appear in the film in some way. All this is to prevent that people are just contributing old stuff. Within these sixteen short films there were really interesting and pretty different things. One of them for example was a musical. |
