aboriginal performance, chocolate and history

With a few things fixed in our minds, like Aboriginal Performance and a tour through Haigh's Chocolate Factory, we went on our relaxed walk through Adelaide. This really was relaxed, as honestly one cannot believe, that there are living over one million people in this city. Passing a few parks and the Botanical Gardens - which you can find in every city here - we walked to Tandanya, the Aboriginal Cultural Institute, where we first of all visited the gallery. At twelve there was a little didgeridoo performance with some background information - once again quite interesting.
Afterwards we went right across the city to Haigh's Chocolate Factory, a little family business. In proportion to EH Dark already a little bit bigger, but not really comparable. These, in comparison to Europe little companies can absolutely survive here, as they meet the demands for the country and there is no market for bigger companies. The only alternative is to import things, but I think this is managed pretty good by the government.
At the chocolate factory we were pretty lucky. Due to a great demand you usually have to book the tour through the factory in advance. Fortunately there were three tickets left and so we could join and of course test as well - it was really jummy. Apart from the fact that I have not eaten any chocolate for ages, as it is so expensive over here, this truly was one of the best ones I have ever tasted.
After this, we went through the city, again heading for the museums. This time we had plenty of time and could really enjoy the quite extensive exhibitions about Australian history. In the evening we had a nice cheap curry after doing shopping in the markets. Afterwards we planned the next six days for our way to Perth with David - 23, from Israel. We will give him a lift to Perth.
